8/2/13 - Write-up from Dr. Pauli

We received the detailed write up from Dr. Pauli. I have attached for anyone interested in the more technical update.

Also, scheduling a time with Dr. Mackenzie has been challenging. Understandable due to his reputation as the "Best Bone Dysplasia Expert" in the country. As of this morning, I was provided dates of 10/10 or 10/17. While I am interested in "as soon as possible," 10-10 is Micah's birthday so I am hoping to confirm 10-17 for a visit with Elliot to Dr. Mackenzie in Wilmington. Since it will be some time until that appointment, I will now be exploring the possibility of traveling to see the other two specialists in Akron, OH and Columbia, MO.

Awaiting a Scooter

No news yet on the scooter. Dr. Pauli's office submitted the required documentation to the insurance company and we are awaiting the decision on what may be covered. School is around the corner (1st day is Sept 3rd). I emailed the school staff to meet for new/updated accommodations for Elliot this year, but no one is yet in session. I expect we'll meet with the School staff at the end of the month.

Elliot had a great celebration for this birthday. For the first time, we invited a few of his friends for a party and sleepover. He had a wonderful time! The next day we had Milwaukee family over to celebrate both Elliot's and Jessica's birthdays. Despite a power outage, we enjoyed dinner and cake by candlelight.
